Non-native Spanish
Language Graduation Requirements: Non-native speakers of Spanish must demonstrate a minimum level of Spanish of B1 before graduation.

To be exempt from Spanish requirement:
-
Show an official DELE or SIELE B1 certificate (send it to languages.university@ie.edu )

-
Place out of Spanish 2 (B1) at IEU Language center (take the placement test)

Either of these means you don't need to take Spanish lessons.
Freshman students taking Spanish classes have two options (indicate option on placement test):

-
Take up to 12 ECTS up to intermediate Spanish (B1) language classes during your first two years at IEU at no additional cost.

-
Study Spanish in classes that prepare you for an official exam in Spanish at a rate which includes reduced group sizes, extra tutorials and overall attention to student’s needs.
