HOW TO MANAGE A COMPANY: REVENUES, EFFICIENCY, RISKS, DEBT (THEORY AND ROLE-PLAYS)
The seminar is about managing a business. Which means the combination of business principles that whoever has got the responsibility of leading an organization, needs to know, to take and review company decisions.
Business management is often thought to be as important as strategy. Up to the point where normal business practices, with good implementation, create more value than excellent ideas with bad implementation.
Business management is mainly related to the four following aspects:
1. Sales effectiveness.
2. Operational efficiency.
3. Good risk management.
4. Clarity on the appropriate amount of financial leverage.
SECOND SEMESTER
DIEGO POLO FRIZ
Adjunct Professor with HST & IE Law School.
Skills
The seminar is built to provide participants with an understanding of the business levers a company can use, and in particular those that see the involvement of the boss of that organization.
Students will learn: how to increase revenues, how to work on costs, how not to run into unexpected losses, how to get to an optimal financial structure.
Classes will be led both by illustrating relevant academic material, as well as by heavy use of in-class role-plays and simulations of the concepts that have been shared with students.
