We all negotiate all the time: for goods, for money, about ideas or boundaries, with your boss, your friends, your partner or family. If you understand the logical and emotional elements involved in the negotiations, you will be a better negotiator and achieve better personal and professional outcomes. In this seminar students will expand upon the three strategic fundamentals of the negotiation process, learn about the meaning and implications of negotiating, and engage in practical exercises that acquaint them with the language, thought, and praxis of being a good negotiator.

FOUNDATIONS OF CONSCIOUS LEADERSHIP

SECOND SEMESTER

MADRID

The objectives of this seminar focus on developing a broader understanding of what Conscious Leadership is, and why it matters for both individuals and organizations in the current global context. We will also explore what disciples, fields, and practices contribute to Conscious Leadership and how they help leaders and organizations develop not only a greater well-being, but also a higher level of awareness and effectiveness.
We will look at the conditioning of our minds, and learn a few key neuroscience and psychology fundamentals that will allow us to better understand how some of our brain functions work in relation to our mind and how this relates to leadership. We will furthermore introduce Integral Theory and how it may help us better understand our leadership developmental stages, as well as organizational paradigms.

Leadership is based on attributes. The Seminar identifies these attributes through different personalities of management and politics, whose footprint in History and international Business is indelible. To better understand his achievements the seminar offers a broad review about the political or economic environment in which they have to develop their activities and the consequences of their decisions as well, but moreover how his/her personal attributes were key for their success.
To lead is to transform. To have power is needed to lead, but a leading character goes well beyond to be in command. If you want to become a real leader, change the reality surrounding you is always a must.

LEADING TRENDS THAT WILL SHAPE YOUR FUTURE

A top priority for 21st Century companies is to innovate at the speed of business. However, research shows that the lifespan of organizations continues to decline because most companies are not successful in innovating and adjusting to an increasing faster changing environment.
Therefore companies need employees who have a good grip on external trends that have an impact on their future. According to the World Economic Forum, one of the most important (and fastest growing) competence for employees is ?ideation/creativity.? People who how have strong ideation skills can help organizations innovate e.g. by (re-)designing new: products, services, business models, ways of working, talent management, business strategies etc.

In this advanced seminar we are going to take you on a journey! You will learn how to identify major trends, you will develop a mindset of a trendwatcher and strengthen your understanding of the changing nature of organizations, work and the workplace.
Additionally ? you will get immersed into a number of practices that you can use in any future role like: visual thinking, design thinking and trendwatching. This is a multi-disciplinary course which will leverage insights from the following sciences: the arts, design, technology, sociology, psychology and business administration. The course is highly interactive and inspirational.
